Hathaway Air Hockey Table for Kids & Adults - Fun Family Game Room Entertainment for Parties & Indoor Play

My family and I have used this table for a couple of months and have enjoyed it a ton. Thus far, it seems well made and sturdy. I wanted a "real" table (or at least as real as I could afford) and have been happy so far. There are some dead spots around the sides (which other reviews mentioned) and the blower could probably be a bit more powerful but overall, I'm very pleased with the table. However, I will say, even after reading a ton of reviews prior to the purchase, I did not actually get that the pucks for this table are 3" and not standard sized. I read a lot of reviews talking about how light weight the pucks are and that they fly off the table (they do). I just assumed that I would buy some better pucks and call it good. Standard sized pucks are 3.25" or 2.5". A table of this size would typically take a 3.25" puck. The 2.5" ones are for the kiddo toy tables. This table, however takes a 3" puck. I bought some heavier weight 3.25" and they fly around the table a whole lot better since they're not constantly flying off the table buuuuut.. they don't fit in the goal. I did a lot of searching for 3" pucks but the cheapy light weight ones made by Hathaway seem to be the only ones. I ended up having to order heavier small pucks made for toy tables which just seems wrong. Sometimes we use the lightweight ones that came with the table and just chase them all over the playroom. Not sure why Hathaway decided to make a table that takes a non-standard sized puck. The least they could do is sell good ones that were also 3" but they don't.And although this is not at all a reflection on the table or the fault of the mfr, I wish I would have had info about how the delivery went prior to the purchase. This was a Christmas present, not to be seen by the kids. At checkout, I was asked to pick a very specific delivery time approximately 3 weeks out (no times available on weekends, so had to make arrangements due to work). I also chose to spend extra money to have the table delivered to "my room of choice" since I knew it was not something I would be able to move easily. 2 and 1/2 weeks early, I received a message from the small company that had been contracted by DHL, that they had tried to deliver the table but were not able to due to no one being home to deliver it. A lot of scrambling and I made arrangements for early the next week (still 2 weeks early). I had spoken to the dispatcher of the company to ensure they were aware that I had paid an extra fee to have the table delivered to my "room of choice" and was assured this was not a problem. Only one person arrived to deliver a 8 foot by 5 foot 250 lb package with a handtruck. Due to the size and weight, he could not make it over a 1/2" lip into the garage (straight shot otherwise) and dumped it in my driveway. Mind you, my "room of choice" could have been up or downstairs or around corners but wasn't, it was "can you take it down the driveway into the garage" with no turns. I had to rely on friends to help me move it and was extremely glad that nothing was broken due to the ineptness of the driver. Amazon was more than helpful and refunded some of my money. The delivery was B.S. though and I want to make sure that others know that drivers may not be aware of delivery instructions or be in any way prepared to fulfill them. There was no way that one dude with a handtruck could have effectively moved a box this large and heavy by himself.
