I bought this for a combined nightstand/addition to my desk, and so far it's working really well (I waited about two weeks to make sure nothing broke though of course will update the review if that changes). For the price, it's fairly sturdy and a good amount of storage. I like the look of it, which is honestly fairly similar to the pictures. The wheels are useful for moving the end table, but once you lock the wheels (and if you have the drawers and shelves fairly full) it's sturdy enough you can use a laptop on it without it moving around too much, which is one of the features I was looking for in expanding my deskspace. If you don't want a version with wheels, though, you can just not install them (or the drawers, if you prefer a version without the drawers).I will say advertising it as 'easy assembly' is perhaps taking a few liberties with the phrase, as it definitely was making the people helping me put it together impatient. As usual, read (or rather, look, as the most useful parts in the assembly guide were the pictures as another reviewer commented) through before you start assembling anything; we almost forgot to put in the back and had to unscrew the bottom to get it in, then put the bottom back on. Some but not all of the wooden parts had numbered stickers which corresponded to the pictures; also, keeping track of the lines (into which you slide the back or drawer bottoms) helped in determining correct part and direction. All of the screws and other assorted parts holding it together were also in labeled bags which was extremely helpful, though the pictures of these were much closer and more helpful. The 'B' screws were the only ones we couldn't figure out how to get out when you get them screwed in so be most careful about installing those (possibly double-check that you've gotten everything else right before putting them in). While some of the screws were not your typical screw, they all could be installed with a standard Phillips Head screwdriver.We did chip the paint a little twice when assembling this piece, but it still looks nice and works great for my purposes. Still, if you're really concerned about a perfect looking piece of furniture you just might have to pay more for it. (You could also repaint it possibly to prevent chips but I've only painted rooms, not furniture, so I don't know the logistics there.)I love the final product. Looks just like the picture. I bought it because it’s usable from 2 sides (shelves, drawers). But the assembly was tricky. Took way longer than I thought for a table this size. The paint chips off really easily when putting screws in and the main screws used were odd and frustrating to use. But all in all, I love the final result! If you have time and patience to assemble then go for it.I liked that these tables could be used the long way or the short way and all the different storage compartments and drawers. It was pretty easy to assemble. Had them both done in about an hour. They can be on wheels which might account for it not feeling 100% sturdy. My one complaint would be the quality of the wood. It split and the finish chipped away with nearly every screw in both tables. Can't really see it when tables are assembled thoughI wish there were better instuctions.. only photos. At least show both sides of the component. It does what it should, won't last a life time if you actually use it. The instructions are not super clear and I am pretty good at putting furniture together. You have to really study the picture to see where holes are and what make sense. So if you can put things together, don't need something super sturdy and want something inexpensive - this will do the trick.Why would you not have made these pieces interchangeable? I purchased 2 for end tables next to my sofa. The one looks stupid because you can't use the side shelves, because they are next to the sofa arm!
