The table itself was pretty good, but the packaging was so dirty and we had to thoroughly clean it before useI use this little darling as a sandtray table for my counseling practice. The tray is perfect to hold sandtray minis. Please note - it only needs 20-25lbs of sand to fill the top section adequately.Legos**Updated: the seller/company emailed me several times and kept me in the loop with the replacement. I will liked that; therefore, it got one extra star for good customer service. The 2nd replacement product has some chips/dents, but was not cracked or broken like the 1st item. Per company, they are working on replacing the packaging/foam to a better padding. The table is still cute.I contacted the seller. He said he will replace it. I am currently waiting. I will update when I get the replacement.I really wanted to like this table for my daughter. It is a cool table. $130 is not a cheap item. I read the reviews of people getting chipped and broken table. I thought maybe it was just bad luck. I am also ok with tiny chips here and there. I guess this is my bad luck item because every part if this table was damaged. The top of they table had a different strip of shiny finish. The bottom that suppose to hold the Lego base plate was cracked. I'm not even sure it can hold 5 lbs. The two screws that supposed to hold the corners together look broken. How did that even happened?! The bottom shelf had a cracked frame. See the photos I posted. I was about to be ok with a little chip her or there, but this was too much. Did the whole batch if merchandise get dropped from the cargo ship?Pro - looks cute when assembled. Item was what I was looking for. They provided a screw driver. Assembly was easy.Con - broken and damaged item. So broken that I don't know I can over look this.If this wasn't a damaged item, I probably would have given it a 5 star.I did a lot of research on lego tables before I settled on this one. What did it for me was the solid wood construction, and the storage area underneath. This exceeded my expectations as far as children's furniture is concerned.Packing and Assembly: This table comes mostly assembled, all the customer has to do is put the legs together and attach them to the top. The labeling was very clear and the instructions very easy to follow--plus it came with a full size, nice screwdriver. I can't say how awesome that was over those dippy little hex keys (my wrist says thank you!). My 6 year old helped me put it together. The other thing I really appreciate is that this didn't come with tons of plastic and non-recyclable packaging. It's mostly cardboard with two thin sheets of styrofoam, which we will probably make dragon wings or something out of later...The table itself: The table is sturdy and very nice, and it is the perfect height for my 6 year old kneeling or sitting on a small chair. The bottom storage area also lifts out if the kids want to sit with knees under the table. We bought the unfinished pine version and there was no chemical smell. Kiddo got his legos on it right away, played all afternoon very focused, and at the end of the day, he put his legos in a bin on the bottom, and put the cover on the top to save what he was working on. Happy Mom doesn't have to worry about his 2-year-old brother or the cats getting into them (Have you heard cats playing with legos on hardwoods at 2 am? I have. It's loud.). It's way better than I had been expecting. We also love that our duplos work with the included boards in addition to the legos, so when said 2-year-old does get involved we can give him something to do.Well worth the wait and buy. It is heavy, sturdy wood and I am very happy with the quality of the table. It fits all the needs that I needed it for.Great for legos, puzzles, mad matter and so much more! The assembly was pretty easy to put together and easy to figure out. I love that it came with a nice magnetic tip Phillips screwdriver to help me assemble it, that was a plus and made assembly a lot better. The only minor negative I will say about the table is that because it is very good quality wood, it makes taking the top part to convert the table off very heavy especially for kids and the possibility of them getting hurt when they try to take it off or put it back on is very high even for my 9 year old who needed a little bit of help to remove the top and put it back onOne way that could possibly make it a little easier for the future would be if it had locking hinges that lifted the top up like a toy chest and then slowly brings it back down when you close it so it won’t slam or hurt fingers by accident.Overall, I really Love this table and I am very happy with my purchase.Very practical item. Easy to assemble, kids love it. Very short. (3 year old stands at it. 8 year old is on their knees/seat, 5 year old leans over)What I did: As I didn't want to tear legos apart every time we put it away, I glued (E6000) the lego plates onto the top. I put the kinetic sand inside so they can always play with it. Boxes of legos at the bottom.PROS: Looks great, solid build, easy easy to assemble (did it in less that 15 mins.)CONS: (why a missing star), Most of the wood is great, but there are some strips that have cracks in them (looks like caused by splits.) It doesn't affect how we are using it, but it is not a perfect product for that reason.OVERALL: I would highly recommend to anyone trying to create a fun area for kids to play at. Has brought new life to the legos as it gives them a whole landscape to play with as the plates are really large and when put together, even greater.Update:Customer service was fast and easy to deal with. We worked out a resolution to the issues. Not a bad little play table. Packaging was over size and redundant, that was the start of the bad. When I opened a chuck of the wood fell out, which started me looking. Found damage on every piece, supplied screw driver was not wrapped so it left marks. During assembly found several mounting screw holes missing. If you are not looking for a perfect table and are handy it's not a bad purchase if you can get it on a deal for less moneyI bought this for my 5 year old that is getting into lego. I like the high sides so she can dump her lego in and its all contained. Still enough room for her to build while lego in piled inside. I like the table design. I have young nephews and when they visit its easy to cover for safety.Very great table for kids to play on. it's a bit expensive, but worth and better than those made of plastic.Loved how fast it came right to the door step
