I bought and returned this item because the item I received was not as it is shown in this product posting.1. The dial control for the feed screw was not the same as advertised. It was shorter, not as "beefy" looking as in the photo here.2. The photo shows the slicing platform as having a white profile, and it shows the platform as thick. The actual product had a thin platform, and the edge was not white.3. The slicing platform was metal, not glass -- it is advertised as glass.I had planned to give this a "1 star" rating, but I up-rated it to "2 stars". I had carefully examined all of the features of this and competitors' products, and I chose this one. It MAY be a good and usable product, but I did not try it -- I opted to return it unused for refund, and I bought from a different vendor here on Amazon. Mainly, I am very disappointed that the vendor did not provide the product with its features as advertised, but assumed that customers would just accept whatever the vendor sent.
