Because of where mine is, the belts that are made that center around your private parts never seemed to be in the correct spot for me. Having the ability of placing this belt's pressure area right over where my hernia is had made it 100% successful, I am very pleased. yes, the belt itself can get to be a bit uncomfortable after a long while, but anything of this sort does that and I do not blame the belt as such. The body doesn't like being confined and you do get some general chafing issues, but I feel they're livable. Again, for what you want it to do, for what you've bought it for, it works and works very well. Not once since I got it and put it on has my hernia slipped out!I found this more comfortable (surprisingly) than any other brace I've had to wear (back, knee, wrist, ankle), but, my surgeon said that the risks of wearing a hernia belt far outweigh any benefits it might give you. See "hernia strangulation." Before I consulted with him, it did give me some relief and peace of mind, but consult with a professional and not the web (as I did) before you purchase one.Worked pretty well. Started to stretch at the leg strap after a month but easy enough to re-adjust. Best part is leg strap has a snap. Easy to unsnap when using the restroom and re-snap after. I have another where the leg strap is attached and you have to take off completely if you have to sit down.I first thought that it was inadequate. But within minutes I realized that not only is it quite comfortable it also works much better than the previous model I bought and suffered through for months. Now with a few months left before I can take time off to recover from surgery, I am really happy to have purchased this support. I recommend highly.I have purchased several of these over the past few years. I was always satisfied until recently. The time before last, the snap on the leg strap was not attached properly because of poor workmanship. Not a problem. I used the leg strap from the old one. The one I recently purchased had poor workmanship on the pouch which holds the pad. It was almost completely unattached on one side. This company seems to have a quality control issue which they need to rectify.I ordered three different support garments at the same time. This was the worst mostly because it broke after 2 uses. The snap that was on wrap around adjustment strap was so snug that I simply couldn't open it without a lot of force. This led to the snap tearing free of the strap and after 2 uses, the snap ripped out completely.Poor quality, especially as compared to FlexaMed Right Side Inguinal/Groin Hernia Truss - Large. I have been wearing it virtually non-stop for the past 2 months. Highly recommendThis works. Can't tell much more than that. Used this prior to surgery due to pain from an inguinal hernia. I went from pretty severe pain to absolutely no pain. Only a minor discomfort every now and then. Most likely this won't work for everyone due to whatever location of hernia you have. But I found it to be cheap and it works!Item received.
