I've worn these for years, both in uniform and for business. These are the lightweight version of a standard uniform shoe. The leather is soft and the break in period is short. They take a high shine. The soles are durable with decent traction on wet surfaces. There are two caveats with the shoes. Some users report crumbling soles/heels. That is likely to be due to exposure to chemical vapors that break down the synthetic rubber or off-gassing of the plasticizer of the synthetic rubber. Thus, be careful with storage of the shoes in closed compartments and exposure to solvents/plastics like a freshly painted locker or newly installed carpet in a closet. The second issue is the life of the insoles. They breakdown before the rest of the shoe wears out. You can get new insoles by contacting the manufacturer.
