I ordered two of these for my dining room. First, the finial wasn't drilled correctly so it never screwed down tightly on the lampshade. We were in the middle of moving and remodeling so by the time I figured out that the lamp didn't work AT ALL, it was too late to return it! One worked fine, the other one was a lemon. They're beautiful lamps, but if the bulb doesn't light it's pretty useless.
