I was just expecting some run of the mill cheap thrift store type of particle board when I was buying this, but wow this was an incredible surprise to me.You can tell right when you pick it up just by the weight alone that this is a very dense and strong board, the laminate is sturdy and doesn't give off that feeling that it'll bubble up or peel off like those cheap particle boards I'm used to.
