I've had either Lund or AVS ventshades on every vehicle I've owned. I got my current truck (2013 F-150 Supercrew) earlier this year and now that it's in the middle of the hot Louisiana summer I decided to put some ventshades on so I can vent my windows without having to worry about the almost daily rain we get. I've always preferred the in-channel ventshades because they blend in well with the vehicle, as though the vehicle was made with them. They don't quite look like some aftermarket product that was just slapped on. My big complaint about them is they don't quite fit perfectly. Especially on the front doors. The auto-up feature on my front power windows doesn't work. When the windows get to the top they will automatically reverse and go down. Sometimes, even when I DO NOT activate the auto-up feature and just toggle the switch manually, the windows will still reverse and go down. In their attempt to prevent such, Lund includes these little black plastic clips that you slip inside the the window channel at the ends of the visors which is supposed to push out on the visor and keep the channel open. These clips fail to work. First of all, the 4pc visor set I purchased was supposed to have 2 clips per visor for a total of 8. Mine only came with 4. I contacted Lund and they quickly shipped out more. As a bonus, they shipped out 5 so I had one extra. Well that one extra came in handy as one of the clips I had already installed decided to slide down with the window and it fell into the door. Being that this truck is not even 6 months old I refuse to attempt to remove the door panel to retrieve a little plastic kit. I thought no big deal, I have the extra one they sent, therefore I replaced it. As I'm driving the next day or so I start putting down my front driver side window. As it starts to go down I notice the plastic clip starts coming down with it. My reaction was to reverse the window and put it up. As it's going up the clip falls out the window and flies onto the roadway somewhere. When the window reaches the top the ventshade came loose and the window glass catches the end of it and jams it into the channel, breaking the end of the ventshade off. So now I have a 1 damaged ventshade and 3 others that don't fit well and the adhesive tape they're attached with in the channel doesn't stick well. I'm consider myself to be mechanically inclined and competent to perform this installation. I followed their instructions of "scuffing" up the window channel with their less than 1" square piece of scotchbrite pad and then cleaning with the included cleaning wipe. After installing and raising the windows, I left the windows up for over 24 hrs as instructed. I'm very unhappy with this product and will attempt to return them for a full refund from Amazon or Lund.
