With only ten large wood screws needed to completely assemble the table it seemed that it would effortless. The problem I had was that some of the pilot holes for the screws were not sufficiently sized for the screws. The included Allen wrench provided insufficient leverage to fully tighten the screws. This requiring (in my case) the use of a vice grip wrench applied to the Allen wrench to achieve adequate leverage. Even with that, one pilot hole needed to be drilled deeper and wider because one of the ten screws did not have a pointed tip (a minor flaw in manufacturing). All is okay now. On the plus side, I do feel that this difficulty due to the tightness of the pilot holes does add a degree of sturdiness to the overall frame. The finish is very nice and the wood is free of blemishes or knots. I am going to enjoy it on my patio.
