I read many reviews that claimed these showed up scratched or damaged. I was lucky and they showed up in good nick. Installing them took about an hour without help. Lay out the hardware and organize the job and it goes quickly. Make sure you have a box of the right height to hold the board at one end while you tackle the other.The running boards (aluminum) are not labeled "left" or "right" - initially they looked symmetrical, but they were not. I had to sort which was left and right alongside the truck. The hardware (all steel) is decent. The brackets, which look to be epoxy coated, are mounted by M8 bolts into the body of the truck - three brackets per side, two body bolts each. I used theadlock on these. This system uses three carriage bolts per side to then clamp the running board to the brackets. In this connection I tossed the originals hardware and used three stainless steel M8 carriange bolts with matching SS washers and lock nuts. I don't like mixing steel and aluminum fearing corrosion. So once everything was torqued up I carefully sprayed the hardware with black Plastiseal just to keep the moisture out of the joints.The results was a pretty snazzy running board. I'll post back when I see how these wear. These do not look to be powder coated so I'm expecting wear on the aluminum. Aluminum doesn't "rust" but it sure as hell can corrode. I'm expecting these will get scratched and require touchup - we'll see.Overall, so far I'd say these are a bargain and a very nice board. They also stick out aggressively past the line of the doors on my truck, so they should be a great door ding shield as well as being an efffective running board.
