Sweaty Betty Women's Power 7/8 Workout Leggings with Side Pockets - High Waist Yoga Pants for Running, Gym & Fitness Training

My first pair of Sweaty Betty tights. These are keepers.Out of the bag, my first thoughts were, “this material doesn’t feel very high end...seems kind of thin” and “uh oh, I must have bought the wrong size—these are tiny!” But once I put them on they felt great. The material is on the thinner side, but feels very comfortable. Even though the fabric in the pattern I bought is white on the reverse, there was no “white-out” effect when stretching it, which I was surprised about.I was surprised and glad that they fit well, too. Amazon’s recommendation was to buy a size small, but I am a size 4 in pants and Sweaty Betty’s own size chart on their website said that is an XS in their sizing. So, that’s what I went with, in the 7/8 length. (For reference, I am 5’1”, 125-ish, no butt, but super muscular legs). These don’t have a ton of extra room, and a size small would have probably been okay too, but I’m wearing these for running and a compressive fit in the legs is perfect. The waist isn’t tight at all; I might have had issues with it being too loose if I’d gotten the larger size. The top of the waistband hits somewhat above my navel, which is fine. Even though these are super stretchy, they don’t feel like they will go anywhere when I run, which is a concern for me when wearing tights that aren’t fairly high waisted. The drawstring on these would prevent that, in any case. I like the zippered back pocket...there’s a non-zippered one on the side that could hold a phone, too...and the 7/8 length hits me perfectly at the ankle.I did get these at a reduced price, and I’m not sure that future pairs of non-sale-price Sweaty Bettys will ever be in my budget, but I’m really happy with these and hope to eventually get a few more pairs. Love all the patterns!
